Thrustmaster TS-PC RACER Wheel Unveiled

For a while, we have been getting teases of a new Thrustmaster wheel coming out in the near future, and now Thrustmaster has made it official: the TS-PC RACER is slated for release on December 5th, 2016!

It appears that this wheel will be a PC-exclusive base, so it is worth mentioning that this is likely NOT the wheel that was teased in the GT Sport video we saw last month. However, this looks to be one of Thrustmaster’s biggest and best wheels yet, judging from the announcement.

The Thrustmaster TS-PC RACER wheel features an upgraded 40-watt brushless Force Feedback motor, which boasts some significant claims. The “Stall Force”, or the force the wheel puts on when the wheel isn’t rotating, is claimed to be 4 times the amount of the other Thrustmaster racing wheels. The TS-PC RACER also claims to have 50% more dynamic response in the wheel, allowing you to have quicker reactions while driving. Similar to the T500RS and T300RS wheels, the TS-PC RACER will offer adjustable degrees of rotation, from 270 up to 1080 degrees.

The TS-PC RACER wheel also features an advanced cooling system on the wheel, which is embedded in the FFB motor. The Motor Cooling Embedded (or MCE) system allows the wheel to run at a higher performance than other wheels, while still remaining silent and avoiding overheating.

The rim also featured a brushed aluminum construction on the wheel plate and the paddle shifters. It appears that this rim is primarily suited for Open-Wheel cars, but I’d say it is fairly safe to assume that there will be other rims of this caliber in the future. In addition, this wheel base is also compatible with all other Thrustmaster Ecosystem Products as well, including rims, shifters, and pedals.

The Thrustmaster TS-PC RACER will be available December 5th, for $499.99 USD. What are your thoughts on TM’s new unveiling? Let us know!
