World Racing Series Beta 6 Released

Ten days ago, PiBoSo released a preview video for World Racing Series, showing off dynamic terrain deformation on a rallycross stage. Now, we have a new update for World Racing Series, bringing it to Beta 6. This new update brings the aforementioned dynamic terrain deformation to the sim, as well as something exciting for the community. World Racing Series now officially supports car modding!

Note that, while World Racing Series does support the dynamic terrain deformation, the dirt track featured in the preview video is NOT included with this update. The extent of the terrain deformation as of right now will likely include the grass getting torn up if you run off-track. Another interesting addition is the “Wet Terrain”. since wet track is already implemented, I’d assume this means that the dirt and grass can get wet, which can provide a challenge in itself. EDIT: The dirt track looks to be coming in Beta 7!

Another major addition to the World Racing Series is official support for the Oculus Rift DK2, which is bound to create an immersive experience from the cockpit. For the full list of other enhancements, check out the changelog below. Have you given this sim a try? Let us know in the comments!
