A while back, Fanatec released the Universal Hub, which allowed you to mount your own steering wheel (or a variety of Fanatec-branded wheels) on a Clubsport Wheel Base. Now, Fanatec has unveiled the Universal Hub for Xbox One, giving the Clubsport Wheel V1/V2 the ability to function on the Xbox One console. Note that Fanatec has also stated this hub will work “on upcoming wheel bases”, so can we expect more bases in the future?
The Fanatec Universal Hub for Xbox One is functionally identical to the currently-available Universal Hub, but it now supports the new Force Feedback/Hardware Protocal implemented in the Xbox One. In addition, the buttons now correspond to the Xbox One’s controller button set, and you can configure them any way you’d like. Note that while the hub is Xbox One branded, it will also work for other consoles, including the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 (I don’t think this will work on the Xbox 360, sadly).
The Fanatec Universal Hub for Xbox One will be available May 28th, but you can pre-order it now from the Fanatec website. The hub will retail for $299 USD, but for a full list of prices, check out the list below.
