2020 has been a crazy year for everyone, and I don’t know why, but it felt like a whirlwind for me! It’s crazy thinking we’re less than a month away from 2021, and things are still quite nuts… However, I did want to provide an update on the direction I see Sim Racing Paddock going in the future.

One of the toughest things for the year of 2020 has been the fact that I just simply have not had much time to actually relax, and that was partly due to a crazy 2019… In Summer of 2019, I learned that my family had been defrauded by our close family friend, who was serving as our financial advisor at the time. Due to that, a this past year and a half has been a wild emotional roller coaster, and it has definitely taken a toll on myself, my family, and also the channel…

Because of what happened in 2019, 2020 has been a drastic year of change. I was forced out of my comfort zone that I had relied on, and went through two moves this Summer, which took quite a toll on myself… Due to other things going on behind the scenes, I haven’t had much time to “relax”, and create new content, but I’ve tried doing what I could to keep things together with the channel…

However, this has been somewhat of a difficult feat because of the fact that I am going to be juggling multiple “Studio Locations” for my workload. Going from a single “Large Private Studio” to “Three Small Shared Studios” is proving to be a bit more difficult logistically than I originally planned, and I’m looking to try to figure out how to optimize my situation to create the best possible content that I can for you guys.

Speaking of content… There is a LOT I have planned for the coming months, but I’m just going to request that you guys be somewhat patient:

  • Fanatec Podium Series DD1 Review
  • Simagic M10 Review
  • Advanced Sim Racing ASR6 Review
  • Logitech G923 Review
  • Cube Controls Formula Wheel Review
  • MUCH MORE…

But yeah… This past year and a half has been… brutal… for lack of a better word. I’m still here, but I’m feeling like I need time to “shake off the rust”, and I want to make sure that I can produce the highest quality content for the community…

Speaking of community, I just want to thank everyone who has helped build Sim Racing Paddock into what it is today! As of a few days ago, we achieved 35,000 subscribers, which is still somewhat mind-boggling to me! I’ve made some awesome friends along the way, and they have helped me through some of the darkest times in my life… So I want to thank each and every one of you for helping build the community into what it is today. However, I want to go further in 2021!

I want to host some fun events, and maybe even a championship or two! Let’s have some giveaways and contests! I don’t want Sim Racing Paddock to be the “William Marsh Show”, but I want it to be a community built around the hobby that we love! I have some really exciting opportunities for the community to get involved in some awesome stuff in the upcoming year, so stay tuned!

Again, I want to thank you all for putting up with some slow content as my life has seen some drastic changes and adjustments, and we’ll see how 2021 stacks up! Thank you all, and I look forward to some real exciting stuff coming soon!
