Kart Racing Pro Beta #15 Released

Kart Racing Pro Beta 15

With KartKraft quickly building up speed towards its impending release, you could be forgiven for forgetting about another great karting simulator, Kart Racing Pro. PiBoSo’s brainchild, and original self-published sim is a surprisingly good drive. It has also progressively evolved over the years, and has just had its 15th Beta release!ss_97111646547460ae61e5a5189acae8ced50d2934.1920x1080

The biggest update is the implementation of the new Oculus SDK, improving support for the Oculus Rift CV1. Many minor adjustments have been made as well, including the simulation of aerodynamics, and the way the chassis works under load.

Lonato, the circuit featured in the demo of Kart Racing Pro, has also seen a facelift. It has been updated to 2016 specs, and it does look quite good! PiBoSo released a video of the track, with a few laps being run with the Oculus Rift.

In more exciting news, KRP has been approved on Steam Greenlight, so it will be launching on Steam, to compete with KartKraft! It will be very interesting to see how the two titles stack up on release, and my mindset is, the more the merrier! If you want to jump in right now, you can still buy into the beta on the official website.
