The next Thrustmaster racing wheel is coming next month, and it’s the first in a collaboration with TM and racing brand Sparco! The Thrustmaster TS-XW RACER wheel is similar to the TS-PC RACER wheel, but it features an officially licensed Sparco replica rim, as well as support for the Xbox One.
The wheel utilizes a lot of the same technology used in the TS-PC RACER Wheel that was released last year. The wheel uses a 40 Watt brushless servo motor, with dynamic torque. However, the Turbo Power PSU is capable of 400 Watts of peak power!
The Motor Cooling Embedded system makes its return from the TS-PC, and ensures that the wheel will maintain peak performance under extended sessions. According to Thrustmaster, the wheel only has 14% power generation into heat, so 86% gets allocated to powering the wheel!
Speaking of the wheel, as mentioned before, it’s an official Sparco replica. It is a 1:1 replica of the P310 Competition Mod, which is 12.2″ (31cm) in diameter. The wheel features 10 buttons on the rim, with two paddle shifters. The Xbox button is featured on the base.
Another great perk of this wheel over the TS-PC RACER is the fact that the TS-XW will come bundled with a set of T3PA pedals. It will include the pedal set and, since the TS-XW is compatible with all products in the Thrustmaster Ecosystem, you can add the TH8A shifter, for a great experience.
The Thrustmaster TS-XW will be available September 22nd, for a suggested retail price of $649. What are your thoughts on the upcoming wheel? Let us know!
