We haven’t really heard much from PiBoSo in a while, but we have some big news coming from who I once called “The busiest developer in Sim Racing“! PiBoSo has released Kart Racing Pro on Steam, marking the official exit of the Beta, which has lasted for nearly SEVEN YEARS!!!
While this title could be seen as being 7 years old, it still is a very impressive title, and has support for a lot of cool features. The sim includes features such as chassis flex, rain (with a dynamic drying line), dynamic tire wear and marble pickup, and support for both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
While I never bought Kart Racing Pro during the Beta, I did spend quite a few hours driving around in the Beta, and I gotta say that it’s a very impressive title. I really did enjoy the way the karts handled, and also how they reacted in response to changing conditions. For an independent title made by just one guy, this is truly an impressive feat!
Kart Racing Pro is now available on Steam for $39.99. While that is admittedly a steep-ish price for a rather bare-bones Karting sim (with no AI), if you enjoy karting, this may be worth the value. Also, this does support online racing, so if you want to host races with friends, you can have fun that way!
I thought I’d never see the day that Kart Racing Pro was officially released out of Beta, but I’m glad it’s finally happened! What are your thoughts? Let us know!
