The release of Dirt for iRacing is closer than ever! With this, we are getting more previews from iRacing, and we have quite a bit to be excited about!
The first preview (above) showcases the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series trucks (in the form of the Chevrolet Silverado and Toyota Tacoma) racing around Eldora Speedway. The half mile clay oval is unique, as it hosts the only dirt race in any of NASCAR’s three touring series. The race is set to take place July 19th, but you’ll likely get your taste of NASCAR Dirt racing far before that!
We also have a preview of how the “cushion” will factor into the events on iRacing. The latest preview showcases the Dirt Late Models running around Williams Grove Speedway. If you look to the upper left, you can see the cushion forming around the outside groove. This is a very important element of dirt oval racing, so I’m happy to see that iRacing is paying attention to that important detail.
While we have just been seeing previews of the oval side, there is still the factor of the confirmation of Rallycross and other off road racing coming to iRacing. While we don’t know too much about that, this is bound to be exciting!
There is still no release date of the Dirt racing yet, but keep your eyes posted here, and we’ll be sure to let you know when it’s coming! Are you excited for the next chapter in iRacing? Let us know!
