iRacing.com has announced that they are in-development on Myrtle Beach Speedway, another track to increase their impressive asphalt short track roster!
The half-mile (well, TECHNICALLY it’s .538 mi) short track is set to be released in June, likely in the upcoming build for iRacing. The track features 13 degrees of banking in the corners, which is just enough to carry some good speed, but not too steep to be too downforce dependent (my opinion). The track will also feature both Day and Night configurations, so you can also race at Myrtle Beach under the lights!
For those of you who don’t know about Myrtle Beach Speedway, it’s one of the premier short tracks, located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The track hosts races with all sorts of short track series, including the NASCAR Whelen All American Series.
As mentioned before, this track is slated to be released in June, which will make it quite a busy month for iRacers! For those of you who are more… erm… “Right Turn Inclined”, remember that either the Ferrari 488 GTE or the Ford GT GTE (or maybe both?!) are coming to the sim next month, hopefully in time for the 24 Hours of Le Mans! So it looks like iRacing is going to have a bit of everything next month, which will be nice.
