iRacing.com has released two renders for the next car to make its way to the online service, the 2014 Ford Falcon FG V8 Supercar.
The Ford Falcon marks the second “Car of the Future” released for iRacing, following the release of the Holden Commodore VF in the latest build. This will mark two cars in the iRacing V8 Supercars Series, which will be bound to make many Australian fans happy. The Ford has been built from the ground up, at the same level of quality as the Holden.
The Ford and Holden releases represent the latest generation of the V8 Supercars, dubbed the “Car of the Future” (COTF for short). This new shift is looking to appeal to more auto manufacturers (such as Mercedes-Benz and Nissan) with modern technology and a more accessible platform. The same exciting racing that has made the series so popular still remains, and can be recreated quite nicely in iRacing.
The 2014 Ford Falcon V8 Supercar will be released in the upcoming build, slated for next month. Note that the build is shortened in length, in order for future seasons to align more properly with the real world calendar.
