Polyphony Digital has released the Gran Turismo 6 version 1.15 update, bringing with it two new Vision GT cars:
The Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is a revival of the iconic racing marquee, which always pushed the boundaries of Motorsport. They now have quite perfectly defined the concept of what Vision Gran Turismo is trying to encompass in my opinion: showcasing the future of automobiles. This is the most radical concept for Gran Turismo 6, and has design cues that remind me of the Nike One 2022 from Gran Turismo 4. This vehicle uses a “Laser Propulsion System” and features a “forward flight” driving position, which reminds me of a mix of hang gliding and riding a motorcycle. This car is absolutely INSANE, and looks like it could be a blast to drive in Gran Turismo 6. I also highly recommend you check out this video, showcasing the Chaparral 2X.
The other Vision GT car to make it to the 1.15 update is the Infiniti Concept Vision Gran Turismo. Infiniti is known for having some radical concept car designs, and this car is no different. Featuring a V8-Electric Hybrid powertrain melded with sleek lines, this car looks at home both on the road and on the track. I’m generally not a fan of “smoothened” cars, but for some reason, this car just clicks with me. I would definitely not mind this car becoming real sometime in the future.
Like other Vision GT releases, you can earn these cars in the new Seasonal Events in Gran Turismo 6, or by purchasing them from the Vision GT section. Apart from these two Vision GT cars being released, the new update is relatively light. For the list of updates, check out the changelog below.
