The latest iteration in the Forza Motorsport series has been announced! Forza Motorsport 7 has been confirmed for an October 3rd release for the Xbox One and PC (November 3rd for Xbox One X)!
The title will be optimized for the Xbox One X, and will be able to run at a native 4k resolution at 60FPS. The title will also reportedly feature improvements in using with a wheel, due to collaborating with Fanatec and Turn 10 hiring a new person to specifically work on Force Feedback.
As teased before, Forza Motorsport 7 is going to take a major focus on competition, and E-Sport functionality. FM7 will support “Spectator Modes”, matchmaking, and the creation of custom leagues, to provide a fleshed out online experience. There’s no word on if there will be an online ranking system, a la Project CARS 2 or GT Sport, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was one. Also, a Forza Racing Championship will be returning, along with Porsche sponsorship!
Forza Motorsport 7 will feature over 700 cars (all of them AutoVista compatible), and over 30 “Environments”. Turn 10 is also touting that they will feature the largest assortment of Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche cars.
Forza 7 will also be featuring dynamic environments to the title. From what it sounds like, it could extend to all 30 locations, as opposed to Forza 6 only featuring rain/weather on certain locations. That’s not confirmed though, but it would be nice to see dynamic weather on all tracks.
Last, but not least, Forza Motorsport 7 will feature Driver Customization! Turn 10 is looking to make it so your driver is an extension of yourself, so you can collect different driving attire, and customize him/her. Yep, Female drivers are now going to be featured in Forza 7 as well!
Forza Motorsport 7 is going to be released October 3rd for the PC and Xbox One, and on November 7th for the Xbox One X. Are you excited for the next chapter in the series? Let us know in the comments!
