Fanatec and Thrustmaster are the two go-to companies if you’re looking for a solid mid-range wheel for your sim racing needs. With them releasing new products, John Sabol of Inside Sim Racing and Shaun Cole of The Simpit have released reviews, just days apart from each other. Shaun has taken to reviewing the Fanatec CSL Elite package, and John has reviewed the Thrustmaster T300RS GT Edition.
Shaun’s review of the CSL Elite Series covers the full package, and dives deep, with the review clocking in at 27 and a half minutes (Better grab some popcorn!). Shaun’s trademark review enthusiasm is clearly apparent for the wheel, and also his thoughts reflect quite a few of my similar thoughts as well.
John’s review of the Thrustmaster T300RS GT clocks in at exactly 7 minutes, so you could likely fit it in during a quick break at work. With the only main improvement of the wheel/pedal set being the pedals (the T300RS GT wheel is essentially identical to the other T300RS), John spent most of his focus there. I recommend you check out the ISR original review of the T300RS if you’re looking for more information.
Well, this may be the only time you’ll see Inside Sim Racing and The Simpit in the same sentence, but that sentence means two great reviews! Which wheel do you prefer? Let us know in the comments!
