It looks like Codemasters is pulling out all of the stops for this years iteration of the Formula One series. It is looking like Codies is looking at all of the requests that the community has been asking for, such as manual starts, formation lap, etc. Now, a new trailer for F1 2016 has been released, showcasing one of the main features the community has been looking for: Career Mode.
In F1 2016’s Career Mode, you will create a driver, and embark on a ten season career, jumping up the ranks (You will also have the option to start in a top team, but where’s the fun in that!?). Not much is known about the extent of how you will be able to customize your driver, but it is known you will be able to choose your number.
The trailer was really well done, and is accompanied by a score I wouldn’t find out of place in a Transformers movie. I liked how there were some subtle jabs at this season mixed into the trailer, such as the two Mercedes cars crashing, followed by Red Bull’s Cheering (at the 1:20 mark in the video).
F1 2016 will be coming out August 19th, for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and for the PC. The title will also see the return of the safety car, as well as the introduction of the Virtual Safety Car. 22-Player online multiplayer will also make its introduction as well.
