Codemasters’ F1 2016 is one of the best F1 racing games we’ve seen in recent years out of the Birmingham-based developer. Now, Codies is working together with Exient to give you a chance to take Max Verstappen’s insane driving on the go, with the mobile release of F1 2016 for iOS!
As of right now, the mobile version of F1 2016 is only available on Apple devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. In the coming weeks, the title will also be released on Android devices. All iOS 9 and iOS 10 devices are supported, and one purchase can be used on multiple devices as well.
Developed in partnership with Exient, F1 2016 harnesses the cutting edge technology of the A10 chip, combined with Metal, to make the gameplay even faster and smoother on the newest Apple devices. This allows the game to render 1.4 million polygons on-screen while also applying an array of console-level post-processing effects and multi-sampling anti-aliasing. These effects include depth of field, motion blur, vignette, chromatic aberration and colour grading. This all adds up to provide an unparalleled level of visual fidelity and immersion, never before seen within a FORMULA 1™ videogame on any mobile device.
All 22 drivers on the 11 teams are included as well as the 21 circuits featured in the 2016 Formula One season. The Career Mode is sadly omitted, but the Quick Race, Full Season, Custom Season, and Time Trial modes are included in the game.
F1 2016 is now available for Apple devices for $9.99. Are you going to give this game a try? Let us know in the comments!
