Looking for a new championship to watch, featuring some classic Formula One Cars? Eurogamer IT has kicked off a new championship, with the Lotus 98T in Assetto Corsa! While most high profile racing championships are showcasing modern race cars, this is recreating a historic era in motorsports, which should be interesting.
The championship will feature full-length races on a variety of tracks, including ones ran in 1988. Eurogamer has partnered with SimRacingZone to kick off the championship, and has also featured collaboration with Sparco, Nvidia, and Thrustmaster. A variety of prizes will be given to the top finishers in the championship:
- First – Nvidia GTX 1080TI
- Second – Thrustmaster TS-PC RACER Wheel and T3PA-Pro Pedals
- Third – Nvidia GTX 1070
- Top finishing team will win a Sparco Evolve Racing Seat for each driver.
As I am writing, the first race is halfway through, but it looks to be an exciting event! Following races will be every Wednesday, and will start at 7:30 PM UK time (12:30 PM Pacific time). Recaps will be released the week after the race is live streamed. To watch the streams, you can go to the official Eurogamer_Italia Twitch.tv Channel (stream is broadcast in English).
