Following rather disappointing news of Assetto Corsa’s console release being delayed to August (28th for Europe, 30th for USA), the guys over at Kunos Simulazioni have somewhat softened (or worsened, depending on who you are) the blow by showing off more previews of their Japanese Pack.
This pack will expand on the JDM presence already available in Assetto Corsa, which includes the Nissan GT-R NISMO and the Toyota GT86. The pack will feature the drifter-favorite Toyota AE86, in both stock and tuned variants, the Toyota Supra in three variants, Nissan 370Z NISMO, Nissan GT-R R34, Mazda RX-7, and Mazda Miata, in both Road and Cup configurations. This will be one of the heftiest packs, with 6 cars and 9 variants. In addition, the Mazda 787B race car will be released as a FREE add-on, to even further establish presence from the Orient.
There is another exciting track coming to Assetto Corsa before the console version’s release in the end of August. Development is now underway for the Red Bull Ring, home of the Austrian Grand Prix. Kunos plans on releasing the new circuit before this year’s Austrian Gran Prix, which is scheduled for July 3rd, 2016.
